BIOGRAFIA

Silvio De Blasio è nato nel 1967 ad Aviano. Spinto da svariati interessi creativi, stimolato dal fratello

Bruno ad insistere nella ricerca di un proprio spazio artistico, si cimenta nella fotografia a partire

dall’inizio degli anni Ottanta.

Dopo anni di ricerca nello studio delle forme e delle immagini in bianco e nero, parallelamente,

sviluppa la sua tecnica fotografica in mare (soggetto ricorrente anche nei suoi nudi).

Spinto dalla moglie (che ne influenzerà lo stile e la produzione) si cimenta in gare in estemporanea

(1° premio nel 2002 a Trieste; 1° premio nel 2003 a Marina di Ravenna) ed in concorsi (2° premio sezione macro/esordienti a Faenza, 1° premio concorso internazionale di Jesi, 1° premio IIª sessione DAN Photocontest, 1° premio concorso letterario “il mio mare” per la miglior fotografia) e molti altri.

Lo sviluppo e la conoscenza delle tecniche fotografiche lo spinge a ricercare forme ed armonie

che trova genericamente nei soggetti femminili, ed in particolare nella moglie.

Decide di “tirare fuori dal cassetto” gli scatti e di farne un libro. Wives, che è la sua prima pubblicazione.

BIOGRAPHY

Silvio De Blasio was born in 1967 in Aviano. Led by different creative interests and encouraged by his brother Bruno to look for his own artistic

space, he has devoted his interest to photography since the beginning of the 80s.

He spent years to study shapes and images in black and white and at the same time he also developed his photographic technique in the sea – which is often present in his nudes.

Encouraged by his wife – who influences his style and production – he took part in contests based on improvisation (1st prize in 2002 in Trieste; 1st prize in 2003 in Marina di Ravenna) and in competitions (2nd prize in the section macro/young photographers in Faenza, 1st prize at the International Competition in Jesi, 1st prize in the 2nd session DAN Photocontest, 1st literary competition prize “my see” for best photography) and many others.

The development and knowledge of photographic techniques leads him to look for shapes and harmonies that he usually finds in female subjects and in particular in his wife.

He then decided to open the drawer and use his photos to make a book. Wives, which is also his first published book.
